Sharpening the Saw

Happy be-lated Valentines Day! What do you know the Valentine Queen came this year! I thought she might not be able to find me down here in the snow. She knew all my roommates too! How about that. :D Seriously thought I had a great day. I went to a Valentines Dance with Josh last night and had a blast! He is a really good dancer and that doesn't hurt. Nanna had this red dress that she wore when she was in High School. Believe it or not if fit and didn't look like a grandma dress. ;) haha I'll have to post pictures later.

School is getting a bit overwhelming. I just got back from running a paper to the American Heritage office and I've got a Book of Mormon test to take tonight. Between all the cramming and running that's been going on though I still can't help but pause for a moment every day and wonder how in the world I made it here. I'm at BYU for goodness sake! To top it off I've got amazing classes, a family that loves me, I'm in Women's Chorus, I've got a place to live, food to eat, my stars, it seems like more than I deserve. Ooooh yeah! I forgot to tell you! I'm in a Sweet Adelines quartet! (That's the girl version of barbershop) We call ourselves "Charmed," you know like, "Charmed I'm sure" On Wednesday we performed a Valentine's Day medley. It started off with "dream a little dream of me" then "Mr. Sandman" then "When I'm sixty-four" then "Love me Tender" and finally my favorite, "Live could be a dream (shaboom)" It was so fun! Men's and Women's Chorus were given a discount price on tickets to the Concert Choir and BYU singers performance so before hand we all had a pizza party in the Wilk and that is where Charmed sang. Then afterwards we had a guy tell us that he was in a guy quartet that also sang doo wop and barbershop. He asked if we would do something with them for an upcoming Accapella Showcase! I'm so excited! Then another guy said that Accaplooza was going on in 20 minutes and that he'd love to have us perform, so we did! haha it was so last minute, but I think we did alright. I felt bad for Josh, he came along for the pizza and the concert, and was a good sport as I was wisked from the two performances. He didn't seem to mind much.

It's Friday already. Where did this week go? I feel like my life is a giant stack of sticky notes and someone is ripping them off as fast as they can and letting them fall all over the floor. I guess it's a good thing I'm free tonight. I need to do some organizing and sleeping. Then it's up again at 5:30 tomorrow for Tahitian dancing! yay...(yawn) :D I'd better go study for my Book of Mormon test. toodles!
