I DECIDED!!!!

It's official! I'm going to BYU-Provo!!!!!!!!

Sunday, April 15, 2007

AHHHHH!!!!

I came home today with a resolution. I had finally decided which college I would attend. So I prance into the living room and mom hands me an envelope from the BYU Provo admissions office. I've been admitted to BYU too...Now I have to decide all over again! I'm the most indecisive person I know. On rare occasions when I go to a restaurant to eat I stare at the menu for a full fifteen minutes at least and end up with something like "the sampler" because I simply can't decide. People who can't decide what to order at restaurants just shouldn't have to go through the agony of choosing which college they should attend. (sigh) I guess I'm just a little stressed out. Maybe I should go to bed. 'night

Uno!

Things overheard during an uno game--

Tori: "Hey Jay stop being a cheeto, I mean a cheater!"

"Wow Jay, you said Uno and you actually only had one card! weird!"

"Do you really have six draw twos?"

"Hey Sky, do you have anything to kill Jay with?"

JJ: (after a victory dance that involved drooling and kicking) "what are you guys looking at?"

Tori: "Great Jay has uno again, what is it?"
JJ: "A blue six, keep it blue k?"

Tori: "The next person who makes me scream has to draw three."

"Jay draw six"
JJ: "Whoo Hooo! oh wait…"

Jay: "Uno!"
Tori: "Jay, you have two cards!"
Jay: "Nuh uh this one’s blue and this one’s red."

Beware if you ever play Uno at the Brown's!

Pencils

I love pencils. Why not pens, quills, paint, highlighters, etc? BECAUSE PENCILS ERASE!!! You're writing along and you accidentally cross your "l" and dot your "r" what do you do? ERASE! You know what the most wonderful thing is. We have an eraser for life, which means we are writing our life in pencil. What is our lovely little eraser? Repentence. Wasn't Conference great!

My Beautiful Island Home!

Judo

Well here it is the cause of it all. I'm happy to say none of these pictures are of me. I'm a scary sight Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 o'clock!

These last two are taken in the old dojo on capital hill. We had to move to our balcony/deck.

Bro. Conner and Sam...wow it's hard to tell who's limbs are who's!

I can't quite tell who is in this one...any guesses?

I'm so glad I'm taking judo. It's given me an incredible amount of confidence and discipline. I'm not scared of any of the crazy lunatics out there anymore! ;)

Broken Arm

I always love it when people post pictures because it gives me a window into their life. As they say a picture says a thousand words. So here are some random pictures I had on my computer.

Okay here we have my cast from when I broke my arm last year in judo. Bro. Conner was doing a move and we both landed on my arm funny. There was a crack and a lot of pain. Everyone tied me up with judo belts and we went to the emergency room. Later I accidentally gave "Sensai Conner" a black eye. I guess it's an eye for and eye a tooth for a tooth, or in this case an arm for an eye. This picture is after all the love from friends.

This is kind of a weird picture, but it shows the nifty cover I made for my cast when I went to compete in Saipan Singing Superstar. I covered it with material to match my outfit. You can't see in this picture, but I made the skirt I was wearing and it matched the cast.

Time for the cast to come off! Who needs a doctor anyway. ;) Dad took my cast off with a pair of pliers and some scissors. It was quite the event as you can see. The whole family is gathered round.
I'm tired and the computer is being slow, so I'm going to bed, I'll post some more pictures tomorrow.

Wow, girls camp was intense this year. I don't even know where to start. (psst Tikla start at the beginning) oh okay. So I wake up on Thursday morning to my mom, "I'm leaving, get in the car!" Great, so my picture before girls camp could have just as easily been my after picture. ;) We got to wing beach, set up stuff, got our tent names. I'm proud to say I was one of "Snow Whites Sunbathing Squids" The sign for our tent was without a doubt the coolest. The first night a bunch of us slept on the beach. I had a weird rock under me all night, but I slept pretty well. I woke up feeling like I'd been marinated with salt from the sea spray and cooked in a slow cooker. I was greeted by a camera bright and early! Testimony meeting was wonderful, as always. Afterwards we had these nifty little orange peel cake things. We took oranges, cut the top off, scooped out the insides, filled them with cake mix, wrapped them in tin foil, and stuck them in the fire. That night it rained like crazy. My tent was nice and dry, unlike the poor babalati tent ;) Tonight was the "camp celebration" we watched the slide show of pictures and laughed at each other, passed out awards, and revealed secret sisters.

I was accepted to BYU-Idaho. Now I have to decide...my mind was all made up before. The only church school I'd heard back from was Hawaii, so it seemed like that was the thing to do. Now I have to mull it over again. I guess I'll just keep praying about it. Coffeyville Community College in Kansas wants to give me a full ride for theater, Santa Fe offered a nice scholarship, Cornell, and Miami wanted me too, but I just can't go knowing I'll be required to do, say, and wear things that are against my standards. It's tough to decide when the Lords answer seems to be, which ever way you choose will be fine.

false alarm.

Typhoon!

I'm sitting here wondering how long it will take before the power goes out. The windows are all boarded up, candles are ready to go, the water supply is set...I guess all there is left to do is to go to bed and wait for it to hit.
